Terms
Draft, to be reviewed. These terms haven't been checked by a professional yet.
Last updated 31 October 2026.
These terms cover the free health check and any paid work from dotdotQ, a trading name of Jack Perry (see the legal notice). They're written to be short and plain. Paid work always also gets a written proposal, and if the two ever disagree, the proposal wins.
The free health check
- It's free and there's no obligation to buy anything afterwards.
- It uses only public Steam data about your game. I don't need access to anything of yours.
- Figures marked as estimates (for example copies sold) are rough guides, not facts.
- It's my reading of public data, offered in good faith. It isn't financial or legal advice.
Paid work
- Scope and price: agreed in writing (email is fine) before work starts. Website prices are starting points.
- Payment: invoices are due within 14 days unless the proposal says otherwise.
- Monthly check-ins: minimum term of 3 months, then month to month. Either side can stop with 30 days' notice.
- Changes: if the work needs to change, I'll say what that means for time and cost before going ahead.
Your data and your game
- Your game data stays yours. I use it only to do the work, keep it to the minimum needed, keep it confidential, and delete it when we stop working together.
- Reports, dashboards and tracking plans I make for you are yours to use as you like.
- I won't name you as a client or share anything about your game publicly without your permission.
- Your players' data: if tracking is added to your game, you're responsible for your own privacy policy and any consent your players need. The tracking plan guide explains what to think about.
Responsibility
I'll do the work with reasonable care and skill. Analytics can show what's happening and suggest why, but it can't guarantee results. My total liability for any piece of work is limited to the amount you paid for it, except where the law doesn't allow that limit.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of [England and Wales or Scotland: to be confirmed].
