Who I am
dotdotQ is run by Jack Perry, a sole trader in the UK ("Jack Perry trading as dotdotQ"). I'm responsible for the personal data described here.
What the health check form collects
- Your studio name
- Your game's Steam store link
- Your email address
- Anything you choose to write in "what do you want to know?"
That's all. There's no tracking, no analytics and no advertising cookies on this site.
Why I collect it
Only to prepare your free health check from your game's public Steam data, send it to you, and reply to your questions. I won't add you to a mailing list or share your details with anyone to market to you.
The legal basis is that you've asked me to do this (steps you request before a possible contract), and my legitimate interest in replying to studios who contact me.
Who else handles it
- Cloudflare hosts this website and passes form submissions on to my client list. Cloudflare is a US company, so data may pass through its servers outside the UK under standard data protection safeguards.
- Fly.io hosts my private, password-protected client list, where your request is copied so I can reply and keep track of it. It's stored in a London data centre.
- Cloudflare also provides the domain and the login that protects that client list.
- Discord is where I get a private notification about each new request (the studio name, Steam link and question; your email only if my client list is unreachable).
- Google Fonts supplies the fonts on this site. Your browser fetches them from Google, which means Google sees your IP address.
- My email provider, when I reply to you.
Cookies
This site doesn't set any cookies and doesn't use analytics or tracking, so there's no cookie banner. Your browser still sends your IP address to Cloudflare (which serves the site) and Google Fonts (which serves the fonts) as a normal part of loading the page.
How long I keep it
If we don't end up working together, I delete your request within 6 months of our last contact. If we do work together, I keep business records for as long as the law requires for tax purposes (usually 6 years), and nothing more than I need.
Your rights
You can ask me to show you what I hold about you, correct it, or delete it completely. Email me at dotdotqdata@proton.me and I'll reply within 24 hours on UK working days and act on it within a month at most.
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
